The engraving of the background and the finest details was carried out using a computerised numerical control (CNC) milling machine, ensuring absolute fidelity to the graphic design provided. The precision of the milling ensures incredibly sharp corners and edges, which are essential for the subsequent colouring phase.
The visual contrast, a key feature of the plaque, is achieved through the paint finish: the recessed background has been finished with a professional dark blue paint (RAL 5004). This shade not only frames the brass, but also absorbs light, maximising the visual impact of the raised characters.
