Burnished brass plaque, featuring a hand-applied burnished finish and UV laser engraving.

There is an interesting alternative to pantograph engraving and enamelling: this technique involves applying a base coat first, followed by UV engraving. The process removes the burnished finish and brings out the natural colour of the brass in lettering, logos and details, creating a sharp and striking contrast.

We offer three different types of burnishing on request:

BRUNITURA A: a smooth, even finish, ideal for plaques intended for use in modern, sophisticated settings.
BRUNITURA B: an uneven finish that creates an antique effect, with a warmer colour, tending towards brass
BRUNITURA C: an uneven finish that creates an antique effect, with a warmer colour tending towards dark brown

In the case of the attached number plate, the finish used is BRUNITURA C.

THE PROCESSING

In this realisation, the use of enamelling is not necessary: by carrying out the burnished painting and then the engraving, a clear contrast is achieved between the background and the lettering, which will be gilded.
